Kroger has been putting their hams on sale. Rick eats sandwiches for lunch at work every day. He prefers ham, so we bought 2 yesterday. His packaged ham costs $5.00 per pkg per week. We got 13 pkgs from 2 hams for less than $3.00 per lb.
I'm not a big meat person but I have to admit this stuff is not bad.
I copped some of the thin/small pieces for salads this week at work.
My seal a meal did okay until the end.

My old postal scale I got at a thrift store. I actually own a modern USPS scale but only use it when I need to mail something.
Rick has scared me in the past by trying to slice every little bit. Today he let me have the small chunks to seal for cooking. Thank goodness.
Without details, my life is finally calming down. I hope to share a lot more on a more regular basis. Hubby and I are spread many directions but we have 40 hr week jobs which limits what we can do. We have a previous home to deal with and a new home that keeps having new challenges every week. We are happy yet crazy. But most of all we know we are on the right path.
